Hello INH,

Welcome to Flux Disruption's IT Department. The work you'll do here is challenging, but hopefully you'll find it rewarding as well. There's certainly plenty to learn no matter how how much you already know.

With that in mind, I want to start you out with a bit of guiding philosophy to how we do things here. Thus, I present to you the top 5 rules of IT:

  1. Does it have power?
  2. Is it turned on?
  3. Have you tried rebooting it?
  4. Don't let the magic smoke escape.
  5. What am I missing?

I'll elaborate on each of these as we go along. For now though, HR will have you buried in paperwork and other onboarding fun for a bit. I just wanted to get you started thinking about these 5 rules now so you can see how it shapes our operations.
